SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Manager, Pharma and OEM is responsible for the development of sales within a designated territory and to assigned accounts, selling MT PI Products in the United States to existing as well as prospective Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Pharma customers. Proposes and implements innovative ways to utilize MTs unique advantages to retain existing customers and grow market share by adding new customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Identify and maintain/grow number of active accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Using all available MT resources as well as own personal sales skills and efforts to meet or exceed the sales and other targets set for the territory and assigned accounts.
  • Cultivate senior level relationships at assigned accounts to drive further business development and retention.
  • Monitor and interpret industry trends and specific requirements applicable to the MT product line and develop comprehensive tactical plans to identify and penetrate attractive accounts and sustainably grow the business.
  • Partner with the Director of Sales Pharma and OEM Business and NA Product Line Managers to identify customer needs allowing MT to offer competitive differentiated solutions addressing the identified opportunities.
  • Develop the confidence of the internal team members (Inside Sales, Engineering, Production) by consistently delivering on commitments, responding to emails and deadlines, in a timely fashion and delivering exceptional proactive sales support. Be able to interface with other departments and work effectively in formal and informal cross-functional teams.
  • Provide market data and information as required to support tactical pricing recommendations on both new and existing products to accelerate market penetration.
  • Meet sales objectives on a monthly and annual basis to ensure that territory sales and other targets are met. Develop and maintain a robust set of KPIs (agreed with the Director of Sales, Pharma and OEM) that can be tracked and monitored on a regular basis.
  • Develop a keen understanding and implementation of MT Sales Spinnaker tools to meet or exceed Corporate Sales Initiatives. Ensure a very high standard of CRM discipline to include logging and follow-up of all calls and opportunities. Comprehensive visit reports should be written to a high standard and adequately convey key insights, activity and opportunity to those who should be informed.
  • Prepare a formal monthly report in a form as agreed with the Director of Pharma and OEM.
  • Create a close working relationship with Marketing, Service, Engineering and Production departments as needed to drive sales and other performance measures.


What You Need to Succeed
  • Experience in various roles within industrial sales and sales management with at least five years of related sales or marketing experience.

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Alternatively, we would like to speak with you if you have an equivalent combination of education and years of work experience.

  • Sales territory management with a consistent record of growing revenue and profitability for your employer.

  • A history as an inspiring leader in a related field fully able to analyze customer problems, master product knowledge, and differentiate from the competition.

  • Comfort with a customer relationship management (CRM) system and key measuring tools to measure territory development, sales activity, pipeline health, and sales progress for your team.

  • Excellent relationship-building skills to build trust with customers, to cooperate with colleagues in service and other divisions, and to develop, coach and lead team members.

EDUCATION:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a science discipline or Business is required, prior sales experience is needed.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 10 years of experience in Sales selling capital goods to the food and/or pharmaceutical markets.
  • Experience from working in the Packaging Equipment field
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate new and existing customers and close orders.
  • Strong working knowledge of information technology systems, (i.e. CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other tools used in the Sales arena.
